Sport Shops & Skill Development Curriculum for K-12 Students

$0.00

The “Sport Shops” Curriculum are a combination of educational/sports mini workstations – low impact physical drills - focusing on motor skills, agility, eye & hand coordination, equilibrium, and reflex ability.

The Curriculum improves Physical Education from Grades K - 12.

It meets the National Physical Fitness Standards which has been a goal of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

They are aligned with Shape America, Society of Health and Physical Education.

The “Sport Shops” will begin with a 30 minute warm-up to prepare the body to exercise.  Suggested warm-up includes a routine where you walk 2 laps around the gym/outdoor facility doing various exercises such as jumping jacks, group stretching, high knee drills, butt kick drills, skipping, basic sit-ups, push-ups, leg lifts, body twists and other exercises. The warm-up can be in a group, or line formation.  Suggested variations of warm-up to keep students attentive (List of exercises included). After each lesson, students do a warm-down which will decrease their heart rate and allow them to relax.  Suggested warm-downs consist of floor exercises such as breathing and stretching.
